LES Scandinavia and the LESI CEEM Committee (Chemicals Environment Energy Materials) proudly invite you to this exciting and relevant webinar with Professor Jan Blomgren. Professor Blomgren will explore the complexities behind the global energy transformation, and delve into why renewable energy sources, while promising, come with significant technical, financial, and infrastructure challenges. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the realities of “green” energy, including issues with grid stability, energy storage, and the role of nuclear power in a sustainable future. The webinar aims to clarify common misconceptions and provide a solid foundation for understanding today’s energy innovation landscape. The webinar is co-hosted by LES Scandinavia and the LESI CEEM Committee.

Jan Blomgren

Professor Jan Blomgren is a Swedish business leader and energy consultant with a global clientele. His previous experience includes being Director of the Swedish Nuclear Technology Centre, senior expert at Vattenfall, and Professor of Applied Nuclear Physics at Uppsala University. He is the author of the books Everything you need to know about Sweden’s electricity supply (2022) and Everything you need to know about nuclear power (2024).

Advokat Ia Modin is a partner at the law firm of Gozzo Advokater. She is an intellectual property and commercial contracts expert, focusing on innovation collaborations and the commercializing of existing and future intellectual assets.
